A native of nearby Hartsville, SC, Gene received his college education from Clemson University (Go Tigers!), graduating in 1981 with a degree in ceramic engineering.  Gene landed his first job out of college with a Myrtle Beach electronics manufacturer, and has called the Grand Strand home ever since.

In 1985, a personal real estate purchase piqued Gene’s interest in the industry, and he acquired his real estate salesperson license.  The booming real estate market of the 80’s beckoned, and Gene hasn’t looked back!

Gene loves meeting and working with people, and brings his problem-solving engineering philosophy with him to every real estate transaction—being a successful real estate salesperson has less to do with “salesmanship” than it does with effectively utilizing experience, tools and information to find the best solution to the clients’ needs. He specializes in second home and investment properties, with extensive knowledge of oceanfront, waterway and golf course homes and condominiums.

Gene and his wife Monica live in Myrtle Beach with their two young sons, Noah and Jonah, and the world’s luckiest stray dog—Dodger!  He enjoys athletics, especially running, tennis and golf.  Family time is spent on the beach and outdoors, attending as many of the local events and festivals (live music is a favorite!) as time allows.
